Dear Friend,
Perspective
of past pains chanting “Nam Myoho Renge Kyo” neutralizes the false
image of suffering as outcomes of good fortune emerge in daily life.
Nichiren
Daishonin teaches: “Or again, it
may refer to the succession of
thoughts or moments of life that constantly abides throughout the three
existences of past, present, and future. This is what is meant by the
words that come earlier, “For this reason, living beings should
constantly keep the thought [of the Wonderful Law] in mind.” Now when
Nichiren and his followers chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo, they should abide
in the mind of faith that “from thought to thought never entertains
doubt.” Earthly desires are enlightenment, the sufferings of birth and
death are nirvana—one should have no doubts concerning this.” [The
Record of the Orally Transmitted Teachings] Chapter Twenty-five: The

Heart
and mind united chanting “Nam Myoho Renge Kyo” open as the true aspect
of phenomena transforming suffering as enlightenment of Buddha nature.
Truly yours,
