Our life just as it is chanting “Nam Myoho Renge Kyo” is expedient means for bodhisattvas revealing Buddha nature in activities of daily life.
Nichiren Daishonin writes: “Are you
saying that within each of us exists the world of the bodhisattva, which is endowed with all the blessings the Buddha attained as a result of his practice?”….” If I add my own interpretation, it will be as if I had profaned these passages, but in essence they mean that Shakyamuni’s practices and the virtues he consequently attained are all contained within the five characters of Myoho-renge-kyo. Belief and action each moment chanting “Nam Myoho Renge Kyo” assuredly discloses highest potential of freedom and happiness striving for our bodhisattva vows.
