Dear Friend,
This Lotus Sutra is a document of each individual’s life chanting “Nam Myoho Renge Kyo” taking on the study of these texts is the courageous act of studying one’s own journey of happiness.
Nichiren Daishonin writes: “From this
single element of mind spring all the various lands and environmental conditions. The sacred teachings of the Buddha’s lifetime are devoted to explaining this principle. These are what is known as the storehouse of the eighty-four thousand teachings. All these are teachings encompassed within the single entity of an individual. Hence the storehouse of the eighty-four thousand teachings represents a day-to-day record of one’s own existence. This storehouse of the eighty thousand teachings is embodied in and contained within one’s own mind. To use the mind to suppose that the Buddha or the Law or the pure land exist somewhere other than in one’s own self and to seek them elsewhere is a delusion.” [The Unanimous Declaration by the Buddhas of the Three Existences regarding the Classification of the Teachings and Which Are to Be Abandoned and Which Upheld] WND II: 315 (p. 843-844) http://www.nichirenlibrary.org
Immediately opening our happiness chanting “Nam Myoho Renge Kyo” each individual practicing united together as leaders of own enlightenment reveals Buddha nature eternally present in our life.
Truly yours,
